Description
The Institute for Policy Studies needed a redesigned website to better showcase the important work they were producing. The old site had been languishing for years in a custom php implementation that was difficult to maintain and keep up with the times.
I carefully researched the prevailing design trends and worked with the staff over many consultations to understand what was needed. I built a new design from the ground up and ported the old site to the WordPress platform. This also involved writing a custom script to import thousands of articles from a custom database setup. The design is now fast, responsive, and search engine optimized. It uses multiple custom post types and taxonomies to keep everything accessible and organized.
