Description

I was called to redevelop a website with modern technology and added functionality. I converted an old WPBakery Page Builder theme to one based on TwentyTwenty with the support for the new Gutenberg Block Editor. Everything was redone using blocks in the backend for an easy customer experience.

Customer also needed a online yoga studio setup complete with calendar display of classes and ticket purchasing. After evaluating several options, I ended up using The Events Calendar plugin with Event Tickets Plus. This still involved heavy tweaking of code to get it to work correctly with online events.

Customer also wanted a to move off the MailChimp newsletter platform to save money. I found a solution that allowed newsletter emails to be sent through the website backend and mailed by an Amazan SES instance which drastically reduced costs.

I also set up customer on a high performance private VPS server for less cost than they were using previously.

This was a whirlwind project under intense time constraints, but I was able to deliver successfully so acroyogis had a new place to learn and expand their practice under a worldwide quarantine.
